Our partnership with Portland State University began in 2003. Over the years, Sockeye developed messaging, identities, ad campaigns and even an apparel line. But our crowning achievement came in 2006, when PSU asked us to rebrand the university itself. We created a voice and an identity rooted in a half-century of history, yet pointing to an uncharted future. Our campaign included a new visual identity, brand and sub-brand standards, a website, an alumni magazine, merchandise and a branded outdoor environment. The results have been amazing; a 50% increase in enrollment in the past 10 years, and a renewed sense of pride.
